Mile-A-Minute Crochet Afghan for Breast Cancer, JDRF, and Alzheimer's Awareness

For my mother's birthday (because she is ALWAYS cold), I decided to make her a Mile-A Minute Afghan. I heard from many others that it worked up really fast but this one actually took me forever. Maybe it was because I did it 60" x 60" and in so many colors. I picked the purple, teal blue and hot pink due to her being a cancer survivor, her granddaughter having Type 1 diabetes (JDRF), and her brother-in-law and mother-in-law having Alzheimer's.

I don't remember the exact pattern I started with (sort of went with my own thing as it progressed) but several free mile-a-minute patterns are available at allfreecrochetafghanpatterns.com

Additional Awareness Ribbon Scarf

After completing the two Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon scarves and the Alzheimer's Awareness Ribbon scarf last month, I made three more. One in blue, one in orange and one in seafoam green for a friend in Canada.

Yoda Hat

Made this adorable hat for my nephew. No pattern just winging it.

Recommend using something stiffer for the ears as they flopped like a hound dog but he and his parents loved it so I consider it a success.
